Haile Gold Mine Buys Christmas Gifts for At-Risk Youths

Haile Gold Mine employees purchased Christmas gifts during December for Mount Calvary Outreach Center’s (MCOC) at-risk youth program.

More than 70 children dropped by Kershaw First Baptist Church Life Center December 22 to visit with Santa and choose a gift. Children from ages 3-15 received gifts ranging from scooters and bicycles to toy trucks and baby dolls. Children also signed their names on a card of thanks, which will be displayed at Haile Gold Mine.

MCOC is a non-profit organization, which has provided yearlong activities and a summer program to Kershaw youth for 30 years. Its programs provide health and wellness activities and help children develop important values and good habits.
